retention > distribution, fun > discipline, ClickBank-core software, pricing sweet spots
Hey,
On the menu this week: keeping people around, why fun > discipline, the return of ClickBank-core software, and pricing sweet spots.
Let’s get into it.
retention > attention
entrepreneurial evolution means obsessing over building → distribution → retention in that order
tons of people complain that some people have it so much easier because they got a big audience. But getting a ton of attention means nothing if people are not returning.
fun criterion
the pendulum is swinging back, no more “discipline equals freedom”, “rise and grind” nonsense
the new mantra that Mark Manson nicely articulates is “emotion is the best productivity tool” or “fun over discipline”
similarly “If something you are doing or proposed to do isn't fun,” says David Deutsch “Then there's something unsolved. There is something that has to be answered.”
"Trying to force yourself to do a task that is not a good fit for your current state of mind is not only a poor use of time but actually counter-productive." I wrote here
clickbank wrappers
seeing a lot of primitive apps that are clearly inspired by old info products crush it
pricing sweet spot
I would add for services the sweet spot it’s $1000-$2000/month.
music
the F1 movie is absolutely fantastic
